Congratulations to Account Associate Michael Yates, the winner of our Pinterest Americana contest and a $100 gift certificate from contest sponsor One Kings Lane!
“His board has a cozy, casual elegance that captures the American design spirit – inviting interiors with splashes of international inspirations, well-worn family pieces and rustic frontierism looking ‘just so’ without being fussy,” said contest judge and PPC Associates Account Director Susan Waldes, who has a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Yates’s board topped a field or worthy competitors including Chicago Office Coordinator Brittni Hamman, who finished second by one (agonizing) point on the strength of an upbeat, happy-huntress (check out the deer head) board and a strong number of re-pins and likes.
Yates’s top competition included Account Coordinator Gordon Khoo’s sleek, minimalist board, and Sr. Manager of Production Services Monica Madrigal, whose strong social following and shabby-chic sensibilities had the judges agreeing that she would be the top pick in a “Best Yard Sale Shopper” draft.
Honorable mentions are as follows:
Top Name-Dropper Board: CEO David Rodnitzky
America the Cynical Board: Sr. Account Manager Todd Mintz
I Want to Go to That Girl’s Dinner Party Board: Account Coordinator Jaime Sikora
Suddenly Jonesing for an Iowa Trip Board: Account Associate Kristin Kopp
Last but not in any way least, the board whose title speaks for itself:
Ugly Pretty America: Account Coordinator Katie Eschenburg
Thanks to all who participated, liked, re-pinned, and judged in the challenge!
