David Rodnitzky, Founder and Partner

David is a featured columnist for Search Marketing Standard and DM Confidential, and also writes a personal blog on search engine marketing at www.blogation.net. He is the founder of the Online Lead Generation networking group on LinkedIn, which now has over 5000 members worldwide.

In 2004, David joined Adteractive, an online lead generation company, as Director of Search Marketing. At Adteractive, David grew search marketing from less than $250,000 of revenue a month to fifteen straight months of revenue over $1,000,000 a month. He grew his search marketing team from two to eight team members and was promoted to Senior Director after barely a year at the Company. At Adteractive, he was recognized as a Google AdWords Professional and a Yahoo Search Marketing Diamond Ambassador.

David then joined Mercantila, an online retailer, in January of 2007 as Vice President of Advertising. At Mercantila, David was responsible for all search engine marketing, affiliate marketing, SEO, marketplaces, and email marketing. David managed an advertising team in San Francisco as well as in Bangalore, India. In less than nine months he doubled the Company’s monthly profit from advertising. He also negotiated business development relationships with eBay and Amazon.

Will Lin, Co-Founder and Partner

Will Lin is the Co-Founder and Partner at PPC Associates. Will has a background in both literature and programming. He received his M.S. in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University. In 1997, he dropped out of a Stanford Ph D program to join a startup called Digital Impact, an early e-marketing company. He was the Company’s first employee and initial programmer, working out of a garage with the two founders. The company had a successful IPO in 1999.

Will started tinkering with Overture (now Yahoo Search Marketing) and Google AdWords before there was a name for the field of search engine marketing, and when most keywords were just 1-cent per click. His initial interest in PPC and SEO was sparked by a desire to market a data query/analysis tool he invented called DigDB. Through PPC and SEO, DigDB grew quickly to become the most popular Excel macro tool in the CNet spreadsheet category. Today it is used by many Excel power-users including some of the largest PPC agencies such as Avenue A/Razorfish.

Will also worked as the Manager of Search Engine Marketing at Thomson-West, handling all paid search activities for FindLaw.com, the largest legal Web site in the world. He met David there where they became lifetime friends. David persuaded him to leave FindLaw to start their own agency.

Sean Marshall, SEM Senior Manager

Sean Marshall has more than four years of experience in online marketing. Most recently, he was Senior Account Manager at Webtrends Ad Director, a leading SEM management platform. Prior to that, Sean worked as a Program Manager at Tippit.com, an online lead generation company. Sean has a B.A. from the University of California – Berkeley

Laura Rodnitzky, SEM Manager

Laura Rodnitzky has more than four years of experience as an SEO content specialist and previously held marketing and publishing positions at First Analysis, Encyclopedia Britannica, and Fitch. She is fluent in Spanish and French, and conversational in German and Chinese. Laura holds a BA in Linguistics from the University of Chicago.

Tara Van Velzen, SEM Manager

Tara Van Velzen recently graduated from the University of Zurich with an M.S. in International Financial Statistics. Prior to that she received a B.S. in Mathematics from Carlton College.

Mike Nelson, SEM Manager

Mike Nelson graduated from the University of California – Riverside, with a degree in Applied Mathematics. Before beginning his career in online marketing, Mike was a High School Math Teacher. He also started a profitable online textbook business; an endeavor originally begun as a means to fund his college expenses.
